The Club at Ibis also wanted to move
from a traditional clubhouse to a resort-style facility that would be more causal
and welcoming. Leo Daly worked with
the members to achieve several things,
including three dining spaces, a new golf
shop and an expanded grand ballroom.
“This remodel filled both form and
function requirements, and not only
improved existing space but added to
the list of member amenities to create a
beautiful, cohesive space,” wrote judge
Daly moved the main kitchen so it
could better serve more areas and added
a second kitchen to serve a fine dining
“The new floor plan is clear and allows
a real nice flow throughout the building,” wrote judge Benzakour. “The design
team did an incredible job of expressing
the vision. The rooms look and feel bigger, airy and inviting.”
