Landscapes Management Company,
a division of Landscapes Unlimited,
continues to grow. The Lincoln, Neb.-based company had been largely focused
on courses in the Midwest. But it has
begun to add courses outside its traditional stomping ground. Last summer,
it added the Max A. Mandel Municipal
Golf Course in Laredo, Texas. It added
King’s Deer Golf Club, in Monument,
Colo., which was designed by Redstone
Golf, and is part of a residential development of more than 500 homes northeast
of Colorado Springs, Colo. This winter it
signed on to manage Butler’s Golf Course
in Elizabeth, Pa. More recently, it was
hired by Kula Golf to manage Ballyhack
Golf Club in Roanoke, Virginia. Kula
is based in Landscapes hometown of
Lincoln, Nebraska and owns Sutton Bay
Golf Club in Agar, South Dakota.

Integrity Golf continues to add properties in Florida. Brevard County in Florida
named Integrity Golf the new operator
of its three publicly owned courses in
January. Part of the agreement requires
that Integrity invest in a number of capital improvement projects at the courses
such as buying new golf carts, and making other upgrades to the facilities. The
Orlando, Fla.-based company has 27
facilities Florida, including properties in
each of the Orlando-area’s five surrounding counties: Lake, Orange, Osceola,
Brevard and Volusia.

GreatLife Golf & Fitness, a Topeka,
Kansas-based company, has been readying itself to be the first golf franchisor.
The company is starting the division,
which could mean exponential growth
for the GreatLife brand. Meanwhile, Rick
Farrant’s company continues to grow
with its low membership cost structure. It added St. Joseph Country Club
in St Joseph Mo., Falcon Ridge Golf
Course, Painted Hills Golf Course, Royal
Meadows Golf Course in Kansas City,
Osage National in Osage Beach Mo., and
GreatLife North in Topeka.
