A few years ago, the super brand Nike halted its operation in making golf balls, clubs, bags, and other golf equipment. However, the brand still does not lack the air time they need during major golf tournaments. In fact, the brand still has arguably the best stable of players in their fold, including Patrick Reed, Francesco Molinari, Jason Day, Brooks Koekpa, Rory Mcilroy, and the popular Tiger Woods. For sure, all these players get their fair share of the limelight in all tournaments they are participating.
In the recently concluded U.S. Open, Brooks Koekpa caught everyone by surprise by wearing a floral print hat in the course. For sure, we know Brook as a fun-loving guy, especially in all his social media posts, but searing a floral hat is something that steals the attention of everyone.
Apparently, the hat is a Nike Aerobill Classic 99, a part of Nike’s collection of apparel, footwear, and accessories that are dedicated to the tournament. The collection is inspired by the California beach culture and also the natural environment of the Peeble beach. It also features a polo shirt that shows the same floral printing on it.
The collection also features a Nike Roshe golf shoes, which have a denim-designed trim while the phrase “No Denim Allowed” is written inside the footbed. The inside and the outside soles feature the same floral print that is found in Brook Koepka’s hat.
The idea of having a commemorative gear and accessories on gold tournaments is a nice idea, but the floral design caught everyone off-guard.
